The newest iteration of the Lexus NX also brings a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) to the table — a first for Lexus. The NX 450h+ brags a 36-mile electric-only range, and combines the Lexus Hybrid Drive system with the D4-S fuel injection 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, as well as two high-torque electric drive motor-generators. Altogether, the Lexus NX generates a combined 239 hp and earns an impressive 36 mpg.
